People eatingAt the heart of our mission lies a steadfast commitment to eradicating hunger in our community. We believe in holistic, sustainable approaches that extend far beyond immediate relief efforts. By engaging with the community and promoting food resilience, we aim to create a future where every individual has access to nutritious meals. Through Meals on Wheels Palmetto, we strive to break the cycle of hunger and build a resilient, self-sufficient community.

Our organization understands that combating hunger requires a multifaceted approach. We work tirelessly to address the underlying causes of food insecurity, striving for lasting solutions that uplift individuals and families. By standing together with our community, we believe that we can make a tangible impact in the fight against hunger, creating a future where no one goes to bed hungry. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient community where every member thrives.

Neighborhood Donut Cafe

The Neighborhood Donut Cafe is a nonprofit cafe to help raise funds for one of our many beneficiaries.

Neighborhood Community Soup Kitchen

Our soup kitchen is available to low-income families, homeless individuals, as well as people with disabilities. Through our soup kitchen, these individuals can fill their stomachs with hot home-cooked meals that are made with love.

Neighborhood Food Pantry

Our food pantry is open for families who may be going through financial hardships, unemployment, or any other situation that may hinder them from providing their loved ones with balanced meals.

Neighborhood Community Events (i.e., Mobile Soup Kitchen, Annual Thanksgiving & Christmas Dinners, Community Yard Sales, etc.)

Feed A Neighbor Project loves to host many community events throughout the year. We are always looking to expand our community events by partnering with churches, nonprofit organizations, businesses, sport teams, etc. Some of our community events are:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (every January)
  • Easter Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt
  • Neighborhood Summer Feeding Events in the Park
  • Back to School Bash
  • Community-Wide Trunk or Treat in October
  • Thanksgiving Dinner (hosted in multiple towns/counties)
  • Christmas Dinner (hosted in multiple towns/counties)

Neighborhood Emergency Relief Programs

We are there for the community when times are tough. In 2018, our team went to multiple counties to supply emergency food boxes, baby wipes and diapers, and other essential items to those who suffered losses from Hurricane Florence.

Church Donation Food Program

We, at the Feed A Neighbor Project, would like to inform you about our Church Donation Food Program. Whenever we have an overflow of meat and produce, we would like to extend an invitation to churches to come to pick up a box. There will be only one pick-up given to each church. If you cannot come on your scheduled day, please let us know immediately to reschedule. To apply, we need the Senior Pastor to complete the form and return to our kitchen manager. After which, we would like for the Pastor to appoint a designated individual to be responsible for picking up donations from VEC. The purpose of the box is to provide food to church families and/or individuals who are in need of food. We would like for you to give the food to the elderly, low-income families, and/or those who may have fallen upon hardship. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (843) 627-3212.
